Stellar Scrapbooks

You're excited about putting together a vacation scrapbook, but the pictures that you have in front of you seem less than thrilling. Actually, they didn't turn out half as well as you had hoped they would, and now you're left wondering how you can possibly be creative enough to make this trip's book look as fabulous as the trip was. It can be frustrating when our own photography skills get in the way of the creation of some very special memory books.

There are some ways, though, that you can better capture your next vacation in photos, so that the scrapbook will basically put itself together. You don't need to invest in a professional-grade camera, but you will need to make sure that you have enough supplies to make it through the entire trip. If you have a digital camera, as most people do, you will want to bring an extra memory card and lithium batteries so that you are sure to be able to capture every event. For film cameras, plan to use about 2 rolls every day, and use 400 speed film to avoid blurry photos. It's also a good idea to bring notebooks to journal in as you go through your trip, which will help you identify photos later and remember details to include in the scrapbook later.

But what will really make your vacation scrapbook more interesting is by introducing a little bit of creativity into your photographs. Take pictures of the weird, wacky, and funny sights that you have seen along the way, such as oddly worded billboards, or giant plastic animals. Take pictures of road signs, kids playing or sleeping in the car, or some great food. Capture the spirit of the trip in the photos, rather than trying to make your very own vacation brochure. You'll be guaranteed to never have another dull vacation scrapbook.

Making Candles

This site gives some very good ways to make candles. If you are into making candles check out the web site. I like candles. I like the ones that are scented with vanilla. The other ones I like are the candles that are scented like apple pie or cookies or other edible things. I have many candles around in case the power goes out. They are all in easy reach to get them in the dark. Sometimes they are used when I cook something that might linger in the air. An example is onions, fish ar things like that. Having Fun Scrapbooking

I get the magazine Scrapbooking etc. To me it a magazine that is just filled with ideas from front to back. When I want to, I can go on line to scrapbookingetc.com/quick-collage and download free photo templates. I can go on and on about this magazine I have a hard time putting this magazine down when I get my new addition. One article that I like is the one on how to use little scraps of scrap booking paper or for that matter any kind of paper. Take a pinch clothespin and put paper on one side and a magnet on the other side. Seal the paper with decoupage medium. Put it on your refrigerator to hold pictures or important papers. So many different items can be used in your scrapbook. There are so many things that I did not realize could be used when I first started scrapbooking. Some of these things are rubber stamping, cut outs, ribbon, lace, old greeting cards, lace, buttons, card stock, rick rack, wrapping paper images, embroidery floss, yarn, this is naming only a few things that can be used to enhance your scrap booking pages. Remember when working close to photographs acid free papers is the key.

Checking out the store on the side there are many scrap booking books that can give many ideas and many more items that can be used in your scrapbook with out hurting the precious photos. The thing that I do best when I am working on my scrap booking pages is have fun. If I am working by myself or working with a friend I am having fun.
